I'm Alex, the founder and director of Fix That Business and my main venture, CAPS Cleaning Ltd.
I started CAPS in South Wales 4 years ago, with a £400 beat-up, second-hand pressure washer. In under two years, I'd built a company with 2 vans, employees, six-figure turnover and our own cherry picker.
Getting there involved powering through inconsistent enquiries, bad business decisions and jobs lost to silly oversights and mistakes that should never have happened. Poorly planned systems cost me countless days I could have spent with my family. I learned what needed fixing by dealing with the consequences myself.
Ever heard the saying, "Hindsight is 20/20"? This is what it describes. That gruelling experience, alongside my marketing education, fulfilling career in corporate upper management and two other brands I started and friends' businesses I helped along the way is today's foundation of Fix That Business.
I’ve been through the trial-and-error meat grinder. Some lessons cost money. Others cost time with my family that I’ll never get back. I know how much it takes to build a business, and how frustrating it is when all that effort isn’t getting you where you want to be.
